Matt grew up in Pennsylvania, and Stephen grew up in Massachusetts. We met each other in Boston on a cold winter night in 2016 and hit it off immediately! We were engaged in 2019 and got married a year later. We adopted Louise in 2023, and she has filled our lives with joy and laughter ever since!

As dads, we love to read, craft, and explore with Louise. We love to spend time in the kitchen; Matt cooks, and Stephen bakes (with Louise as our trusty assistant). We like to stay active too and enjoy running, cycling, and scootering (Louise’s favorite). We spend time with family and friends whenever we can!

Matt: Stephen makes everything more joyous and fun. I am in awe of how dedicated he is to his family, his friends, and his students. He is the best “Dada” to Louise. I love to watch them explore Louise’s interests together, whether it’s singing at the top of their lungs or working on a messy art project.

Stephen: Matt is extremely caring and compassionate. He is patient and he takes his time with decisions and thinks things through. He’s an amazing husband and “Papa” to Louise. He always takes time to read an extra book (or three) at night and loves to make her belly laugh by giving her stuffed animals silly voices and singing goofy songs!

Matt’s family is large, loud, and lovely! Most are a few hours away out-of-state, so when we visit, it’s usually for an extended stay. Stephen’s family is relatively small and close-knit. We live about an hour away from each other and try to connect whenever we can. Louise adores spending time with her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!

We love spending time with Louise and being part of her everyday adventures. We often do arts and crafts projects, scooter around the neighborhood, and walk to the playground.  We love doing “Saturday Errands” where we go grocery shopping, get a special treat, and then go to the library to pick out new books. At home, we read through Louise’s favorite books, look through photos of family members, and talk about the people who love her so much. These simple moments are some of our favorites, and we can’t wait to make more special memories with another child.

We live in a town just outside of Boston, MA. Our home has a big, bright living room with a big cozy couch, four bedrooms, and a perfectly sized backyard. We live on a quiet street with lots of families and friendly dogs. An added bonus – we can walk to three different playgrounds and an ice cream shop!
