We met on a dating app on Josh’s birthday in 2017. Our first date was over brunch which lasted several hours because we couldn’t stop talking. Tim proposed on Halloween in 2021 and we got married the following October.

We are a big board game household and huge travelers. We easily have over 100 board games and together have been to over 40 countries. When we aren’t traveling or competing over a game, Tim has his head stuck in a book and Josh is cooking up a new recipe in the kitchen.

Tim on Josh: “Josh is fun loving chaos in the best way. He is energetic and funny and always brightens up a space.”

Josh on Tim: “Tim is thoughtful, loving, and grounded. He has such an infectious personality in a way where everyone wants to be his friend. He is constantly making sure we set aside time to see our loved ones and is willing to drop everything for someone if they need him.”

Tim has his dad, brother, and sister living in nearby cities. He also has a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, all within the area. Josh has his mom and dad, older sister and twin. While they all live out of state, we are very close and have a yearly tradition of meeting up for a game weekend.

We both want to grow our family and believe adoption is the best way for us to be able to do so. We’re excited to provide a loving home to our future child.

Josh is excited to sing and dance around the house and make a mess in the kitchen teaching them all sorts of new recipes. Tim is looking forward to sharing his favorite childhood books and stories. We’re also excited to share our love of travel and food.

We bought our house and moved into the suburbs 3 years ago to give us more space to grow.  Our backyard is spacious and outlined by trees giving us and our cats lots of entertainment with a variety of birds and wildlife to watch. We are also within walking distance of several local parks and playgrounds that we can’t wait to visit with our child.
