We met twelve years ago working at a summer camp where Annie was the photography instructor and Sam was the camp photographer and we have been inseparable ever since. We hiked Mount Monadnock for our first date and realized quickly that we wanted to climb all of life’s mountains together.

We share passions for hiking and camping, exploring museums and traveling the world together. Our travels have taken us on amazing adventures, from hiking a glacier in Iceland to exploring a Medieval fortress in Estonia.

Annie can be found either cooking, reading, gardening or baking. Sam has truly helped us to “build a home” as he is constantly starting one home improvement project after another.

Sam: Annie is the greatest person that anyone could ever want for a mother. She is warm and loving, kind, caring, and compassionate with our daughter Emmaline.  I learn more and more from her every day – she makes me want to always be the best version of myself.

Annie: Sam is truly the most compassionate person I have ever met. He treats everyone with kindness and humility.

Sam has an amazing sense of humor and is always making those around him laugh. He puts everyone at ease and is a constant source of support and strength for his family. He is the most amazing father to Emmaline.

We are lucky our families live pretty close by.  All are thrilled to welcome a new member to the family.

Annie was adopted herself and has always wanted to grow her family through adoption. She was lucky enough to have a partner who immediately understood how important this process was to her and was eager to start the journey together.

We are looking forward to taking our child to the beach, hiking, biking, and traveling. We are also so excited about the little moments like bath time and reading stories before bed. Emmy is excited to have a playmate!

We spend every holiday with our family and friends. We often combine major holidays at our home to spend with both sides of the family together.  We love to host everyone for either a sit down dinner or a barbeque on the back porch.

Our home is lovingly decorated with artifacts and pictures from our travels. We have a large plot with a pool and a lovingly maintained garden.  We are able to walk downtown within a few minutes. Our town prides itself on its community, which has many small businesses, parks, and highly rated schools.
