• About Me:

I am a therapist and I specialize in children and adolescents. I work with medically complex or disabled infants and toddlers, and I also have a small private practice where I see older children and teenagers. I’m cheerful and extroverted, and I’m happiest when I’m spending time with other people, especially family and friends.  I love to sing, and I love to go to the beach and be outside.

    • My Adoption Story:

I was told that I couldn’t have children when I was only 12 years old, and I hadn’t given any thought to being a mother at all. Because of that, I always anticipated and looked forward to becoming a mother through adoption. I’m very excited to live out this life-long dream! My family and friends are very supportive and have always known that I would be adopting one day.

    • My Family:

I am very close to my family, in every sense of the word. My parents and both of my brothers all live within ten minutes of my home. My brothers are both quite a bit younger than me and this would be the first grandchild, but hopefully not the last. My parents are recently retired and are out of their minds with excitement about having a grandbaby, and my brothers are looking forward very much to a niece or nephew. I have uncles, aunts, and cousins who I am very close to as well, and some live nearby while others are scattered around the country.

    • My Home and Neighborhood:

I live in a small suburban town on the ocean. My place is about a ten minute walk from the beach, where there is also a beautiful children’s carousel, an arcade, and an ice cream store. I have a pool and a patio with lots of plants, and behind the building there are lovely nature trails with views of meadows and the bay. There is a playground nearby, and a community garden across the street. The schools here are excellent, and it is a great place to raise children.

    • Looking Forward:

I am excited to share my joy of nature with my child, especially going to the beach and going for nature walks and hikes. I love birds and butterflies and I want to teach my child all about the wildlife around us. I love to read and I’m looking forward to reading to my child at bedtime every night and sharing that love of books. Most of all, I love to sing whenever I can, and I hope to share my love of music with my child by singing and listening to music with them all the time!

There’s lots more to learn about this family!
