I have close relationships with my parents and sisters and we’re all very excited to welcome a new member into the family. My parents live close by and will play significant roles in my child’s life. My child will be their first grandchild – they’re ready to spoil him or her! My sisters live in different states, but we regularly chat through FaceTime. They’re so excited to become aunts!

Becoming a mom through adoption was such an obvious choice for me. I have been so fortunate to have grown up in a family that was built, in part, through adoption. My sisters were both adopted from China as babies. I was so excited become a sister through adoption all those years ago and now I get to be excited about becoming a mom through adoption!

There are so many things I look forward to sharing with or doing with my child! I’m excited to pass down family traditions and recipes and to share my favorite books and movies. My family and I are big Disney fans, so I can’t wait for all the family trips to the parks and sing-a-longs at home. I’m ready to experience all things Disney through my child’s eyes. That will just be so magical for me!

As a family, Christmas is our favorite. The magic of Santa still exists even though we’re all adults. I can’t wait to see what new magic we can create when there’s a child in the family again! The Christmas season typically includes at least one big family game night which is always a fun time. My favorite family tradition is our tradition of sending creative and funny Christmas cards to family and friends. I can’t wait to continue that tradition with my own family!

I live in a cute little home that has a great fenced in yard, perfect for playing outside. My neighborhood doesn’t have a lot of traffic, so there’s always neighbors out walking their dogs or kids riding their bikes. I live in a small town with a good community feel and school system. It’s the town I grew up in – I enjoyed it so much growing up here that I came back to grow my family here too!
