Meet Sean and Julianne...
We live with our dog, Marty, outside of Boston. We have spent over ten wonderful years together. Julianne is a Kindergarten teacher. Sean is a lawyer. We can’t wait to grow our family.
We met while we were going to school in Boston. Sean was in his first year of law school. Julianne was a junior in college. We instantly connected over our interest in music. Our love for one another grew from there. We were married in 2015, and have shared some of the most meaningful moments of our lives together.
We never pass up an opportunity to do the things we enjoy. Sean loves being outdoors – hiking, fishing, running – no matter the season. Julianne loves doing yoga and meditation, reading, taking long walks, sewing, and quilting. Together, we enjoy spending time with family (especially Marty), sharing meals together, and traveling. Most importantly, we love to learn, whether reading, trying new things, or listening to others’ stories and experiences.
Qualities We See In Each Other:
Sean is going to be an incredible father. He has an incredibly positive outlook on life. I admire his drive to succeed and his work ethic. He is extremely dedicated to his service in the Army. Sean is an Eagle Scout and continues to serve the Scouting community in which we hope to involve our child.
Julianne is the most loving, thoughtful, and caring person I know. She has a great sense of humor. Julianne is passionate about her work with children and a loyal friend. Julianne is going to be a great mother.
Our Extended Family:
Julianne is the youngest of three. She has one brother and one sister. Julianne’s sister is married with two energetic sons. Sean has one sister who, together with her husband, has three beautiful children – two boys and a girl. We are close with Julianne’s parents who live nearby, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins. We consider many friends a part of their extended family, and are honored to have five godchildren.
Our Adoption Story:
Since before we were married, we have both dreamed of raising a child. For years we have tried to grow our family without success. This has been mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually challenging. We’ve worked through it together, and discovered adoption as the perfect opportunity to grow our family, welcome a child into our lives, and fulfill the dream of becoming parents.
Special Activities We Look Forward to Doing With Our Child:
We look forward to spending time with our child, sharing our hobbies and passions while also discovering the things they enjoy, whether it be sports, music, or whatever sparks their interest. As they grow, we can’t wait to read bedtime stories, make breakfast, and spend time at our cabin together. Our niece and nephews are also ready for cousin sleepovers!
Our Home and Neighborhood:
We live in a quiet but lively neighborhood in a town outside of Boston. Our street is lined with families with young children, and couples who have lived there for many years. Our neighbors come from many different backgrounds. We are surrounded by families with dogs, including one who is a social media celebrity. We recently added more space to our home, including a brand new room that will be our child’s own.
There’s lots more to learn about this family!
