    • Our Story:

We met online in 2020 and quickly knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We got engaged on July 4th in the Cape at the harbor of our small cape town and got married in October of 2020 in Cambridge by the water surrounded by lots of friends and family.

    • Our Hobbies:

Raquel likes to go for hikes, play field hockey, watch sporting events, go to concerts and events, and travel as much as we can, Ryan loves finding hidden gems of restaurants, watching sports, fishing with his father, and traveling to surrounding states.

    • Our Extended Family:

Our families live within 30 minutes of us and where they reside they are within walking distance of the rest of our family. We have a lot of support from family and family friends that due to distance are eager to support the new addition to our family.

    • Qualities We See in Each Other:

Raquel always puts others first and worries about everyone before she focuses on herself. She is very sweet, caring, determined, responsible, and social. Her career of running a daycare center and caring about each and every person that comes through her center shows how much she adores children. She has always worked with children and truly believes that being a mother has always been her calling.

Ryan is the most caring, funny, sweet man. He truly was born to be a father due to seeing him with Raquel’s nephews. He treats them like his own and makes sure everyone is always valued, heard, and comfortable in all situations. He truly also puts everyone before himself.

    • Our Adoption Story:

Fom very early in our relationship, we had discussed how we wanted to create our family. Raquel being adopted from Peru, and Ryan wanting to give a child every opportunity that she was given made adoption the first way we wanted to create a family. Raquels family was very open about her adoption and always stressed that it was one of the hardest, bravest, and most selfless decision that a mother could have made. We feel very grateful that she was adopted by a family that was struggling to have children of their own. We are grateful we found Adoptions with Love to start this amazing journey.

    • Holiday Gatherings:

Our family loves getting together for holidays, birthdays, and other events. We always celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Passover, ect. We would love the opportunity to share all the holidays that we grew up with and our family traditions. We also look forward to creating new traditions with our future child.

There’s lots more to learn about this family!

All families that work with us provide the following to share with you:

    • Detailed family profile
    • Beautiful Photo Albums
    • Letters written by the parents
