Early on in our relationship Brenna disclosed that she would not be able to have children naturally. We have a lot of love to give and we both decided that adoption would be the path we would take to making our family complete.

We both love going to the beach, concerts, sporting events, and museums. We (Brenna especially) are big foodies and love going to restaurants.  We also love visiting parks and hiking trails to take long walks, going to farmstands and festivals in the fall, and doing many other traditional activities in our area each season. We also love spending time with our 5 year old nephew.

Brenna enjoys DIY projects, crafting, and journaling. Doug likes to read and solve crossword puzzles. We both enjoy traveling and trying new recipes.

Doug: “Brenna is a hard working, compassionate person who is a great listener and has an affectionate personality. She’s a great teacher, and wonderful around kids.  She is very creative, fun, and silly- and she loves Harry Potter!  She is my best friend who I love so much and I know she will make a great mom.

Brenna: “ Doug is a loving and devoted husband.  He has a great sense of humor, and loves making me laugh.  He is very loyal and dedicated, both to his loved ones and in his professional life.  He loves kids and is wonderful around them.  I know he will be a great father.

We are both close with our families and get together for every holiday and big event such as birthdays. Both our families are excited for us and our child will have many grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins to love them.

We look forward to the small things- rocking, reading stories, singing to our baby, taking walks, being silly and playing games, going to parks, playdates with friends that our child will meet at school, and to support them in their extracurricular activities.

All of our holidays are celebrated with our extended families. We both are lucky to have such a loving and caring family that we can celebrate the holidays with.
