• About Us:

David is a Research Computer Engineer at a research laboratory, and Grace works in higher education. Our dog Rusty is a yellow lab, and he has been with us since 2012. Our other dog Buzz is a pug/chihuahua mix who joined our family in 2014.

    • Our Story:

We have been married for 14 years, and in that time we’ve moved around the United States a lot for school and work. A few years ago we decided to settle down in Massachusetts and grow our roots in the community.

    • Our Hobbies:

We love to travel internationally, learn about other cultures and try new foods. Closer to home, we like to hike, camp, visit the beach, and go kayaking together, and David scuba dives with some local buddies.

    • Qualities We See in Each Other:

Grace has a kind and generous heart. She is always the life of the party, making sure that everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves. She has handled the rough times in our life with calm and perseverance.

David is responsible and a hard worker, and he strives to give back to the community. Grace often says that we may not have it all together, but together we have it all. That’s how she feels about spending life with David.

    • Our Extended Family:

Both of us are from large families that are spread out all over, and we don’t live too close to any of them. Whenever we get together for family reunions or holidays, we always have a great time with all the nieces and nephews!

    • Our Adoption Story:

Even before we got married, we talked about possibly adopting in the future. After years of waiting and unsuccessful fertility treatments, we realized that the path God had for us to build our family was through adoption. We are ready and very excited!

    • Special Activities We Look Forward to Doing with Our Child:

We are looking forward to sharing our love of the outdoors with our future child through hiking, camping, boating, and playing sports. We also want to share cultural experiences, like attending concerts and Broadway shows, and visiting the Museum of Science!

    • Holiday Gatherings

Although we live far away from family, we usually visit them for family reunions and Christmas, where there are lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. For Thanksgiving, we celebrate with old friends from our previous city, and we often spend summer holidays at the beach with local friends.

    • Our Home & Neighborhood:

We live in a 3-story colonial house with a fenced yard in a suburb of Boston. Our dogs enjoy the yard, and we have plenty of room for a swingset in the future. Our neighborhood is very diverse, with people representing about 8 different countries on our street.

There’s lots more to learn about this family!
