No matter what we are doing, we are happy doing it as long as we are together. We enjoy the “big” things together – snowboarding, traveling to new cities, collecting art from the places we have been and lived, and going to concerts. But what we love most are the more every-day moments we spend together – watching movies at home or out, eating dinner together, walking through shops and museums, or just being together.

Individually, Alex is a big reader and collector. We have a huge bookcase filled to the brim with her books, keychain collection, and Sailor Moon items. Danny loves film and music – his share of the bookcase is filled with vinyl and DVDs. He also loves to be involved in our community, speaking at city council meetings for safer streets.

I love Alex’s loyalty, compassion, drive, and humor. When she has a goal in her mind, she works incessantly to achieve it. She cares so deeply for her friends and family. Her heart is set on doing the right thing for the people around her as well as the world around her. And finally, there is absolutely no one in the world who can make me laugh like she does.

Danny is my best friend. He has the kindest heart I have ever encountered. Every day, Danny lives intentionally – considering how things may impact others, and what would be best not only for himself but for everyone. He is a constant support to his friends, to his family, and especially to me. Almost 9 years ago, we started laughing together, and we haven’t stopped. It’s one of the reasons why I love him so much.

When we first started dating, even in those early days, adoption was a topic close to our hearts as we discussed what we envisioned for our futures. We dreamed of building our family with love, intention, and openness, and it has become apparent to us that adoption is how we are meant to grow our family.

We live in a Colonial three bedroom townhome in a diverse, community-oriented neighborhood. We’ve worked to make our home a warm place to host family and friends for dinners and movie nights, or to spend the night if they’re coming from further away. Our city has amazing parks, from playgrounds, sports parks, and splash pads, to wooded hiking with beautiful views of Boston.
